Gonda: In a significant step toward promoting sustainable and natural farming practices, a Bio-Input Resource Centre (BRC) will be established in Gonda district during the financial year 2026–27 under the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF). The Agriculture Department has invited applications from eligible Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), entrepreneurs, and institutions interested in setting up and operating the centre.
Applications will be accepted until July 4, 2026.
Boost to Natural Farming
Deputy Director of Agriculture Santosh Kumar Dwivedi said that the proposed Bio-Input Resource Centre will be established in accordance with the Government of India’s guidelines under the National Mission on Natural Farming. The centre will focus on the local production and supply of essential natural farming inputs, including Ghanjeevamrit, Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, Dashparni Ark, and other bio-based formulations widely used in natural agriculture.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the availability of quality organic inputs for farmers adopting natural farming practices, reducing their dependence on external sources and encouraging environmentally sustainable agriculture.
Infrastructure to Be Developed by Selected Operator
According to the department, the selected BRC operator will be responsible for creating the necessary infrastructure required for the production and storage of bio-inputs. This includes facilities such as storage tanks, refrigerators, cow urine collection systems, fermentation chambers, and secure storage arrangements.
Applicants must possess experience in natural farming or have members actively engaged in natural farming practices. The scheme is open to FPOs, entrepreneurs, self-help groups, cooperatives, and other eligible institutions that meet the prescribed criteria.

Technical Support for Farmers
Beyond manufacturing bio-inputs, the Bio-Input Resource Centre will also serve as a knowledge and support hub for farmers. The centre will provide guidance on the preparation, application, and benefits of natural farming inputs, helping farmers adopt scientific and sustainable cultivation techniques.
Officials believe that the establishment of the BRC will play an important role in expanding natural farming clusters across the district and improving awareness about eco-friendly agricultural practices.
Applications Invited
Deputy Director of Agriculture Santosh Kumar Dwivedi has appealed to all eligible FPOs, entrepreneurs, and interested organizations in the district to submit their applications at the Office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture, Gonda, on any working day before July 4, 2026.
The initiative forms part of the Government of India’s broader strategy to encourage chemical-free agriculture, improve soil health, reduce input costs, and promote sustainable livelihoods for farmers through natural farming methods.
