Fourth ‘Bada Mangal’ of Jyeshtha Month Celebrated with Devotion and Spiritual Fervour at Ramakrishna Math Lucknow

Lucknow: Ramakrishna Math Lucknow celebrated the fourth Bada Mangal of the holy month of Jyeshtha with immense devotion, enthusiasm, and spiritual grandeur at its Nirala Nagar campus on Tuesday. The entire programme was also livestreamed through the Math’s official YouTube channel, “Ramakrishna Math Lucknow.”

The celebrations began at 4:30 am with the Mangala Aarti of Sri Ramakrishna. At 6:50 am, Vedic chanting was performed by Swami Ishtakripananda, followed by garlanding, worship, and aarti of Lord Hanuman’s idol installed in front of the main temple. Devotees also participated in a collective recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, after which prasad was distributed among attendees.

An online spiritual discourse by Swami Muktinathananda Maharaj was organised at 7:15 am as part of the morning session.

One of the major highlights of the evening programme was a remarkable spiritual presentation by 10-year-old Aryama Shukla from Lucknow. The young prodigy delivered five uninterrupted recitations of the Shri Hanuman Sahasranama entirely from memory, leaving devotees deeply impressed.

Aryama is known for having memorised the complete Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Durga Saptashati, several stotras, sahasranamas, and nearly 3,000 Sanskrit shlokas. Her extraordinary memory, flawless pronunciation, and deep spiritual grounding created a devotional atmosphere across the temple premises.

The monks of Ramakrishna Math blessed and honoured Aryama Shukla for her dedication, talent, and love for Sanskrit literature, while wishing her a bright and spiritually fulfilling future.

In the evening, after the Sandhya Aarti of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna, worship and aarti of Lord Hanuman were performed by Swami Krishnapadananda of Ramakrishna Math Lucknow. This was followed by another recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa led by Swami Ishtakripananda.

The programme concluded with the soulful devotional bhajan dedicated to Lord Rama, “Itni Viniti Raghunandan Se…”, which filled the temple complex with deep faith, devotion, and spiritual energy.
