Gonda: In a significant step toward promoting education, dialogue, and youth empowerment, the initiative “Arga Gyan Ganj: Chai and Chapters” was inaugurated on Friday at the Shakti Café premises within the Vikas Bhawan campus in Gonda. The newly established library aims to provide students with a safe, peaceful, and conducive environment for focused study.
The facility was formally inaugurated by Durga Shakti Nagpal, Commissioner of the Devi Patan Division, who attended the event as the chief guest and cut the ceremonial ribbon. Senior district officials, including District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan and Chief Development Officer Ankita Jain, were also present on the occasion.
Praising the initiative, the Commissioner described the concept of “learning over a cup of tea” as a meaningful effort to encourage positive social engagement and intellectual growth among youth. She noted that such spaces not only foster dialogue but also motivate women and young people to move forward with confidence. Emphasizing the importance of collective effort, she acknowledged the crucial role of parents in students’ success and urged young learners to channel their energy into constructive pursuits and remain committed to achieving their goals.
During the event, meritorious students who excelled in High School and Intermediate board examinations were felicitated with medals and garlands. They were also presented with competitive exam books, diaries, and pens as a gesture of encouragement. The recognition ceremony highlighted the district administration’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence.

District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan stated that the library, set up within the Vikas Bhawan premises, would serve as a valuable resource for students preparing for higher studies and competitive examinations. She also pointed out that Shakti Café offers nutritious meals prepared by women from self-help groups, enabling students to maintain both their academic focus and health. Importantly, she emphasized that the library is open to all विद्यार्थियों, making it an inclusive space for learning.
Chief Development Officer Ankita Jain underlined that the newly created study center provides a safe and conducive atmosphere for focused preparation. Encouraging students to stay dedicated, she urged them to study with determination and work consistently toward realizing their aspirations.
The “Arga Gyan Ganj” initiative is expected to emerge as a vibrant platform for knowledge-sharing, संवाद, and empowerment, marking a progressive step in strengthening educational infrastructure and community engagement in the district.
