Lucknow: Rajnath Singh has expressed deep concern over the massive fire that broke out in a slum settlement in the Vikasnagar area of Lucknow, and directed officials to expedite relief and rescue operations.
According to Anand Dwivedi, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lucknow Mahanagar unit, the Defence Minister and Member of Parliament from Lucknow immediately spoke to the District Magistrate over the phone to assess the situation. During the conversation, Singh sought detailed information about the incident and instructed authorities to intensify relief efforts.
Emphasising the need for prompt action, Rajnath Singh directed the प्रशासन to ensure that all affected families receive necessary assistance without delay. He also stressed that proper medical treatment must be provided to those injured in the fire.

The District Magistrate briefed the Defence Minister on the extent of the damage and the ongoing rescue and relief operations. Officials assured that the administration is working with full urgency and sensitivity to manage the situation and restore normalcy at the earliest.
The fire, which caused widespread devastation in the slum area, has left several families displaced, prompting urgent response efforts from authorities and political leaders alike.
