Lucknow : On the second day of the 7-day International Children’s Film Festival (ICFF-2026) being held at the CMS Kanpur Road Auditorium, a tremendous enthusiasm for educational children’s films was witnessed among students, teachers, and parents. The entire CMS Kanpur Road Campus remained packed throughout the day with a large number of children and parents. Renowned actress Arushi Nishank and actor Rajesh Khattar along with Aftab Alam, Chief Content and Strategy Officer, 6 TV Bharat, encouraged the children with their presence. The second day of the festival began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a unique presentation of an All Religion Prayer. It is noteworthy that the festival is completely free for all. Around 329 children’s films from 53 countries are being screened, with the first show at 9:00 a.m. and the second at 12:00 noon.

On this occasion, while extending a warm welcome to the film personalities and other distinguished guests present to encourage the children, CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that it is a matter of happiness that students are showing tremendous enthusiasm for this children’s film festival, and they are also receiving full support from teachers and parents. Our effort is to make this festival a memorable experience for the children. She appealed to parents to encourage their children to watch the educational and inspiring films being screened at the children’s film festival.
At this film festival, thousands of children drew inspiration today from educational films such as God’s Powerhouse, Countless 99 Steps, Sanjeevani, The Gold Chain, Sahi Raah, Vidya, Naukri ya Vyavsaay, Mera Jeevan Kavya, Beyond the Mars, A Song About a Dog, Ambassador of Hope, Little Stories, Golden Fish, Surprise, The Last Bookstore, Zimmedari, Aao Dosti Karen, Anokha Pitara, and Unstable Connection, among others.


The joy and excitement visible on the faces of the children clearly reflected the success of the festival. After watching the films, most students shared that this method of imparting life values along with entertainment is highly commendable. One student said that the festival is both entertaining and educational, and that the films taught them to love nature and all living beings. Many other students also expressed their views and thanked CMS for organizing such a festival. Along with thousands of children, a large number of teachers and parents also enjoyed the films.
At a press conference held on the occasion, film personalities interacted with journalists and shared their thoughts. Renowned Actress Arushi Nishank stated that CMS has taken a commendable step to provide positive values to children through this festival. Renowned Actor Rajesh Khattar opined that the festival is a golden opportunity for children to watch films from many countries on a single platform. Aftab Alam, Chief Content and Strategy Officer, 6 TV Bharat said that there is a lack of educational films for children today, and this festival is a very good initiative.
