LUCKNOW | The University of Lucknow’s campus was vibrant with festive spirit today as the Teachers’ Club organized a grand ‘Holi Milan Samaroh’. The event served as a platform for educators to celebrate the festival of colors with mutual harmony and brotherhood.
The celebration was graced by Prof. J.P. Saini, the Vice-Chancellor of Lucknow University, who attended as the Chief Guest. He was warmly welcomed by the Club’s President, Prof. Rajiv Manohar, and Treasurer, Dr. Vineet Verma.
A Celebration of Unity and Tradition
The festivities commenced with ‘Pushp-Holi’ (Holi played with flower petals). Addressing the gathering, Prof. Saini emphasized that Holi transcends mere colors; it is an opportunity to dissolve internal negativity and spread love and goodwill.
“The university is like a family,” Prof. Saini remarked. “Events like these are instrumental in reducing distances between us and fostering a robust academic environment.”
He further lauded the teaching community, noting that educators are responsible for infusing society with the right values. He called upon the faculty to channel the energy of this festival toward the university’s continued progress and innovation.

Officials from the Teachers’ Club highlighted that the primary goal of the event was to bring the university family onto a shared platform where members could enjoy the festivities beyond formal professional boundaries. They noted that the Holi Milan has become an integral part of the institution’s cultural heritage, celebrated annually with renewed enthusiasm.
