Lucknow: The two-day national conference ‘Savishkar Startup Sangam 2026,’ organized under the ‘Savishkar’ initiative of the Awadh province unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, concluded today at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. The event brought together young innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and academic leaders, encouraging youth to translate ideas into action and contribute to the vision of a self-reliant India.
On the second and final day of the innovation summit, participants were motivated to harness entrepreneurship as a tool for national reconstruction. The chief speaker of the day, Devdutt Joshi, National Joint Organising Secretary of ABVP, guided students on transforming their potential into purposeful enterprise.
Addressing the gathering, Joshi said that India’s youth are no longer content with merely standing in job queues but are increasingly emerging as job creators and drivers of social change. He emphasized that platforms like Savishkar must focus not only on economic gain but on delivering accessible, technology-driven solutions to the problems faced by the last person in society. “True nation-building lies in combining innovation with social responsibility,” he remarked.
The valedictory session was addressed by Ghanshyam Shahi, Regional Organising Secretary of ABVP, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, and Nisarg Rathod, National Convenor of Savishkar. Shahi noted that nearly 250 representatives from across the country participated in the two-day event, showcasing transformative startup ideas from both urban and rural backgrounds. He underlined the need for campuses to evolve into vibrant ecosystems of innovation rather than merely degree-granting institutions.
Presenting the event summary, Rathod described the summit as the beginning of an “ideological revolution” in entrepreneurship. He highlighted the dynamic interaction between student delegates, investors and industry experts, expressing confidence that the ideas incubated during the conference would contribute significantly to India’s economic growth.

The conference featured panel discussions with representatives from leading companies and institutions, including Meta, PhysicsWallah, IIM Lucknow Incubation Centre and I-Hub UP AKTU, among others. Their participation provided students with industry insights, mentorship and networking opportunities.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all guests, speakers, mentors and student representatives who traveled from across the country. The event formally ended with the rendition of Vande Mataram, marking the successful culmination of the two-day celebration of innovation and enterprise.
Among those present during the event were ABVP Awadh Province Minister Arpan Kushwaha, Province Organising Secretary Anshul Vidyarthi, and Department Organising Secretary Pushpendra Bajpai, along with a large number of students.
