Lucknow: In view of the upcoming festivals, the Talkatora police have intensified security measures and launched a special vehicle checking drive to ensure public safety and smooth traffic movement.
A focused enforcement campaign was carried out at Pal Tiraha crossing under the Talkatora police station limits. During the drive, police personnel conducted thorough inspections of two-wheelers and four-wheelers passing through the busy intersection.
The operation was led by Station House Officer Kuldeep Dubey, accompanied by the local outpost in-charge and a team of police personnel. Officers checked vehicle documents, monitored suspicious movement, and ensured compliance with traffic safety norms.
Two-wheeler riders were strictly instructed to wear helmets, while car drivers were directed to fasten seat belts without exception. Police officials warned that traffic violations, especially during the festive season, would attract strict action to prevent accidents and maintain order.

The checking drive is part of a broader security strategy adopted by the Lucknow police to prevent any untoward incidents during the festival period, when markets and public places witness increased footfall and vehicular congestion.
Officials appealed to citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and strictly adhere to traffic regulations. “Public safety is our top priority. We request everyone to follow traffic rules and assist the police in maintaining a secure environment during the festivities,” an officer said.
Police authorities confirmed that similar checking drives and surveillance operations will continue in the coming days across sensitive and high-traffic areas to ensure peaceful and incident-free celebrations.
