‘Mridangam’ at The Sanskruti School: A Soulful Confluence of Art and Cultural Consciousness

LUCKNOW: The CG City campus of The Sanskruti School transformed into a vibrant hub of tradition and spirituality on Friday during ‘Mridangam – A Cultural Evening.’ Organized in collaboration with the Azara Earth Community and the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), the event showcased a mesmerizing blend of artistic talent and moral education.

Art as a Bridge to Ancient Wisdom

The evening was designed to do more than just entertain. According to Gyanendra Varma, Additional Secretary of the LDA, the primary objective was to connect the youth with the eternal message of the Bhagavad Gita and integrate cultural values into modern lifestyles.

“Our focus is on value-based education and cultural awareness. This program effectively highlighted how ethical leadership and ancient wisdom can guide the next generation,” Varma stated.

The event drew a distinguished crowd, including administrative officers, social influencers, and cultural icons.

  • The Welcome: Guests were greeted by the powerful rhythm of traditional Nagada drumming, instantly filling the air with cultural energy.

Aditi Kumar, founder of the Azara Earth Community, noted that the cultural segment was the heart of the evening. Key highlights included:

  • Flute Recital: A soulful and melodious performance that set a serene tone.

  • Rasotsav Dance: A high-energy performance choreographed by Punit and his team, depicting the divine play of Krishna.

  • Student Disciplines: Well-coordinated and disciplined performances by the students that reflected the school’s commitment to Sanskars (values).

The Main Attraction: ‘Gita Connect’

The focal point of the evening was the “Gita Connect” interactive session, led by Deen Dayal Krishna Das, Vice President of ISKCON Lucknow. He addressed contemporary issues facing students and parents today, such as:

  • Ethical Parenting: Guiding children with strong moral foundations.

  • Mental Clarity: Using spiritual principles to achieve emotional balance.

  • Leadership: Developing integrity-driven leadership skills through the teachings of the Gita.
