Ayodhya: In a major step towards further strengthening the spiritual and cultural identity of Ayodhya, the Yogi Adityanath government has initiated the construction of Ram Lalla Park in the holy city. Envisioned as a grand religious and cultural destination, the park will vividly depict the life and legacy of Lord Shri Ram through immersive visual themes.
Being developed under the Amrit 2.0 scheme, the park is coming up on nearly five acres of land behind Saket Sadan along the 14-Kosi Parikrama Marg. The project, being executed by the Urban Development Department, will be built at a cost of ₹17.22 crore and is expected to emerge as a major attraction for pilgrims and tourists visiting Ayodhya.
Ram Lalla Park will not merely serve as a recreational space but as a living narrative of Lord Ram’s life, presented across four specially designed zones. The first zone will portray the divine birth of Lord Ram, the second will showcase scenes from his childhood, the third will depict his Gurukul life, while the fourth zone will bring to life the episode of Tadaka Vadh. These episodes will be recreated through statues and artistic installations, offering visitors an experiential journey through key moments of the Ramayana.
According to Devvrat Pawar, Project Manager of the executing agency CNDS, the park will be equipped with modern amenities including a grand entrance gate, parking facilities, watch towers, ticket counters, screen walls and public conveniences. Additional attractions will include an open-air theatre, a musical fountain, majestic statues, a children’s play area and an open gym. The park will also feature developed roads, water bodies and green spaces, making it an attractive destination for families, children and youth alike. Construction work is currently underway at a rapid pace.

Following the consecration of the grand Ram Temple, Ayodhya has witnessed an unprecedented surge in footfall, with nearly one lakh devotees visiting the city daily for darshan. In this context, new landmarks like Ram Lalla Park are expected to play a crucial role in positioning Ayodhya as a world-class religious tourism hub.
Municipal Commissioner Jayendra Kumar said that alongside the Ram Temple, several parks, museums and infrastructure projects are being developed in the city. Ram Lalla Park, he said, is part of this broader vision and will help devotees reconnect with the life and ideals of Lord Ram. He added that the park will be opened to tourists soon.
With such initiatives, Ayodhya is rapidly emerging on the global map as an exemplary spiritual and pilgrimage destination, while also giving a significant boost to the local economy.
