Sultanpur: In a commendable display of alertness and compassion, the Government Railway Police (GRP) Sultanpur achieved a major breakthrough under Operation Muskaan, successfully reuniting an 11-year-old boy with his family. The operation once again highlighted the GRP’s commitment to ensuring safety and humane response within the railway network.
Boy Accidentally Boards the Wrong Train
On November 23, 2025, the GRP Control Room in Lucknow received information that a child from Samastipur, Bihar, had mistakenly boarded Train No. 14524 Harihar Express and lost contact with his family. The alert triggered immediate action by the Sultanpur GRP team.
Prompt Action Leads to Rescue
As soon as the train arrived at Sultanpur station, the GRP team began a thorough search and promptly located the child. The boy identified himself as Dilkhush Kumar (age 11), a resident of Kotwali City, Samastipur (Bihar).
The police immediately contacted his mother over the phone and informed her about his safety. She soon reached the police station.

Seeing her son safe and unharmed, the mother broke down in relief and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the GRP team. She praised the police for their humane approach and said the force had set an inspiring example of compassion.
The GRP’s timely action reinforces that Operation Muskaan is not just an effort to trace missing children—it reflects the vigilance, sensitivity, and humanitarian values upheld by the police in protecting the most vulnerable.
