Lucknow: The much-awaited “Smriti Cup Season-2” (Smt. Pratima Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament) began with great enthusiasm and a grand opening ceremony in Lucknow today. The prestigious tournament is being organized by Avisha Enterprises in loving memory of Late Smt. Pratima Singh.
The event was inaugurated by noted social worker Sunil Dutt Tripathi. Present on the occasion were Chandan Singh and Nandan Singh, sons of Late Smt. Pratima Singh, who extended heartfelt gratitude to all guests, players, team representatives, and sponsors for their participation and support.
Speaking at the inauguration, Chandan Singh said, “This tournament holds deep emotional significance for our family. What began as a tribute to our mother has now become a symbol of sportsmanship and youthful energy. The first season saw participation from 15 teams, and this year, with 24 teams competing, the excitement will be even greater.”
He further announced that the tournament’s title sponsor is Emminence Youtu Private Limited, while Somany Tiles and Gripwell Adhesive have extended their support as associate partners. The organizing committee expressed special thanks to all partner organizations for their continued encouragement.

On the opening day, five thrilling league matches were played across different grounds in Lucknow, producing exciting results:
