UP Players Dominate Boys’ Singles Main Draw at IATA Super Series U-18 Tennis Tournament

Lucknow: The main draw of the IATA Super Series Under-18 Boys and Girls Tennis Tournament will begin on Monday, October 13, with Uttar Pradesh players showcasing strong dominance in the boys’ singles category.

Organised by the Uttar Pradesh Tennis Association under the aegis of the Sports Development Society (SDS), the tournament is being hosted at the La Martiniere Lawn Tennis Facility, Lucknow.

Qualifier Harsh Malik (Haryana) has been awarded top seeding in boys’ singles, while Delhi’s Sneh Nandal will lead the girls’ singles draw as the top seed.

In boys’ singles, six players from Uttar Pradesh feature in the main draw with high seedings:

  • Rishi Yadav – 3rd seed

  • Aryaman Chavan – 4th seed

  • Aniruddh Kumar – 5th seed

  • Raghav Prabhu – 6th seed (via qualifiers, UP)

  • Sanidhya Dwivedi – 8th seed
    Additionally, several UP players including Mohammad Sheej, Anuj Kumar, Arnav Bhaskar, Arnav M. Chaudhary and Vanshraj Jalota have entered the main draw through qualifiers.

In girls’ singles, UP’s Miraya Agrawal (7th seed) and Vaneesha Jadoun (8th seed) will represent the state, while Delhi dominates the top four positions.

The Shalimar Group-sponsored tournament will see 16 boys’ singles matches and 8 girls’ singles first-round matches on the opening day, starting 8:00 AM Monday.

The formal inauguration will take place at 12:00 PM, graced by Chief Guest Retd. Justice A.R. Masoodi, along with La Martiniere Principal Gary Dominic Everett and Retd. GST Chief Commissioner Ajay Dixit (IAS) as special guests.

With strong local representation and national-level talent, the tournament promises high-intensity action as young stars battle for supremacy in this prestigious U-18 event.
