Lucknow: In a significant breakthrough under the Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign, Janakipuram police have rescued a 17-year-old girl and arrested the accused, Madan Rajput, for luring and sexually assaulting her.
The case was initially registered at Janakipuram police station based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father. Following the girl’s statement, additional charges under the POCSO Act and relevant sections for sexual assault were added.
The accused was apprehended by a police team led by Inspector Vinod Tiwari, with the assistance of Senior Sub-Inspector Jitendra Patel. After the arrest, the suspect was sent to judicial custody.
This successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of the Lucknow police under Mission Shakti to ensure the safety and protection of women and minors in the city.
