Lalit Kala Akademi Lucknow Hosts ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Painting Workshop

LUCKNOW: The Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Lucknow, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organized a one-day painting workshop today as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” (Tricolour at Every Home) campaign.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from hundreds of students and artists from Lucknow University, Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, and various other schools. Participants showcased their talent by creating exceptional paintings on canvas and paper, with a strong sense of patriotism visible in their artwork.

Artists used their brushes and colours to depict inspirational stories of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the courage and valor of the Indian Army, and the unwavering devotion of citizens towards their motherland. The glory of the national flag, the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and the message of a united India were clearly visible in each painting.

Some of the prominent artists who showcased their work included Simran, Shivam, Anurag, Gagandeep, Sarvesh, Avinash, Harshit, Neeta Kumari, Divesh, Shejan, Pratibha, Priya, Ritu, Akanksha, Harshika, Vandana, Prachi, Dhirendra, Mansi, Uday, Gautam, Shashi, Vanshika, Mansi, Shivansh, and Bhumika. Each artist brought India’s cultural heritage and national pride to life on canvas in their unique style.

The event’s guests of honour,  Bhrigu Singh, Director of the Geological Survey of India, Lucknow, and Dr. Devendra Tripathi, Regional Secretary, presented certificates to all participants. Renowned film actor, Shri Rati Shankar Tripathi, also attended, encouraging the artists with his presence and providing creative guidance.

Dr. Devendra Tripathi, Regional Secretary, stated that the aim of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign is to unite citizens in a bond of respect and unity for the national flag. “It reminds us of our glorious freedom struggle, the sacrifices made, and the feeling of national unity,” he said.  Rati Shankar Tripathi expressed, “In the creations of these children today, I have seen a glimpse of true patriotism. Every colour and every line reflects love and respect for the motherland.” Shri Bhrigu Singh added, “Art is not just about aesthetics, but the expression of thought and emotion, and you all have proven this. I believe that such efforts will deepen the awareness and pride for the country among the new generation.”

Officials, staff, artists, and art enthusiasts from the centre were also present on the occasion.
