The special bathing days have seen an unprecedented rise in the number of devotees. The Mauni Amavasya on January 29 witnessed the highest turnout, with over 7.64 crore devotees taking a holy dip. A day before, on January 28, over 4.99 crore people bathed in the sacred waters. On Makar Sankranti (January 14), 3.50 crore devotees performed the ritual bath.
Even after Mauni Amavasya, the influx of devotees has not waned, with over a crore pilgrims continuing to arrive daily for the holy dip. By February 9, the total count of pilgrims who had bathed in the Sangam had crossed a historic 43 crore. The city of Mahakumbh continues to resonate with spiritual fervor and divine energy.
