Lucknow: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Lucknow South’s Cantt Nagar unit, celebrated the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose with a three-day event titled “Youthopia,” which culminated in a singing competition and award distribution ceremony. The event brought together students from across the region to showcase their talents and reflect on the values of leadership and nationalism inspired by Netaji.
The chief guest of the program was Abhishek Rathore, the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantt Board, Lucknow. Rathore addressed the youth, encouraging them to pursue bright futures while stressing the importance of making career choices that align with their individual talents. He praised the students for their enthusiasm and their role in shaping a progressive society.
The key speaker, Abhinav Deep, the National Co-Convenor of the ABVP National Art Forum, urged the youth to preserve their culture and artistic heritage. He emphasized the significance of platforms like the National Art Forum, where students can display their individual talents. Abhinav also spoke about the Student Film Festival, a platform that encourages young filmmakers to showcase their creativity.
Kumari Anshika Singh, the city secretary of ABVP, motivated the participants with an inspiring message. She highlighted that over 70 students participated in competitions such as ramp walks, dancing, singing, and art and craft exhibitions. Addressing the students, she said, “Victory and defeat are temporary, but participation itself is a significant achievement. Compete not with others, but with yourself. When you look back, you will realize how far you have come.”
Anshika further emphasized that participation in such competitions is an excellent way to enhance one’s self-confidence and skills. She urged students to continue nurturing their talents with enthusiasm and energy, ultimately contributing to nation-building efforts.
The program concluded with the distribution of awards and certificates to the first, second, and third place winners of the competitions. The winners were honored by the CEO, Mr. Abhishek Rathore, while other students were recognized by the city president and the principal of the school.
Poonam Thakur, the principal of R.A. Bazaar Secondary School, expressed her gratitude to all attendees and participants, bringing the event to a close on a note of encouragement and recognition of the students’ hard work and dedication.
