Lucknow: Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Satish Mahana has requested all party leaders for cooperation to conduct the session of the Legislative Assembly starting from Monday smoothly. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly told the party leaders to put forward their views in the House under decency and parliamentary decorum and debate in a loving environment.
During the all-party meeting, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Satish Mahana said that democracy is strengthened through dialogue and positive discussions in the parliamentary system. He said that there should be meaningful discussions between the ruling party and the opposition in the House. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly said that this is the largest Legislative Assembly in the country. Naturally, the proceedings of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly also present an ideal for the Legislative Assemblies of the entire country.
Earlier, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Satish Mahana congratulated the newly appointed Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey and said that the Legislative Assembly of the state will benefit from his long political experience.
On this occasion, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that the Speaker has increased the pride of Uttar Pradesh in the country with his unique working style. Due to new traditions, UP Vidhan Sabha has now become a role model for the country. Therefore, cooperation is expected from all parties in maintaining its dignity. He assured all party leaders that the government will work with full seriousness to consider the proposals of the Hon’ble members in the House positively and to give new impetus to development and to take it forward. The government is committed to take positive action on all issues.
