Gonda: Expressing strong concern over persistent power outages and irregular electricity supply across the district, the Gonda Bar Association staged a protest and submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate, demanding immediate corrective measures to improve the power situation.
The delegation of advocates, led by Bar Association President Ravi Chandra Tripathi and General Secretary Sunil Kumar Pandey, highlighted the difficulties being faced by residents due to frequent and prolonged electricity disruptions in both urban and rural areas.
Through the memorandum, the advocates urged the administration to ensure regular and uninterrupted power supply throughout the district. They also called for appropriate action against officials and employees of the electricity department allegedly responsible for negligence in maintaining the power distribution system.
Impact on Judicial Work and Daily Life
The Bar Association stated that the ongoing spell of intense summer heat has made the situation particularly challenging for the public. Frequent and unscheduled power cuts are severely affecting daily life, disrupting household activities, and creating hardship for residents across the district.
Advocates pointed out that the erratic electricity supply is also impacting judicial proceedings and legal work in courts. In addition, students preparing for examinations and other academic activities are facing significant difficulties due to the lack of reliable power.

The association emphasized that restoring a stable and efficient electricity supply system is essential to ensure the smooth functioning of public services and provide much-needed relief to citizens.
Delegation Meets District Magistrate
Several members of the legal fraternity participated in the delegation that met the District Magistrate. Those present included Brahmanand Singh, Shishir, Shivam Tripathi, Rajesh Kumar, Sudhir Singh, Atul Tiwari, Sandeep Pandey, Bhagwati Prasad Pandey, Santoshilal Tiwari, Vivek Singh, and Ram Fer Prajapati, among others.
The Bar Association urged the district administration to intervene promptly and coordinate with the concerned authorities to improve the electricity supply system, ensuring uninterrupted power for residents, institutions, and public establishments across Gonda.
