‘Sandesha Aaya Hai, Kanhaiya Aayenge’: Shri Shyam Temple in Gonda Resonates with Devotional Songs on Janmashtami

Gonda: The birth anniversary of Lord Krishna was celebrated with devotion, enthusiasm and religious fervour at Shri Shyam Temple in Dadua Bazaar on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami.

As the clock struck midnight and Lord Krishna’s birth was celebrated, the entire temple परिसर echoed with chants of “Hathi Ghoda Palki, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki”, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere. Devotees joined in the celebrations and marked the divine occasion with enthusiasm.

Ahead of the midnight birth ceremony, a grand devotional music evening was organised at the temple. Bhajan singers Rohit Sharma, Gokul Chand Sharma, Puneet Bansal, Vishal Bansal, Ankit Lavi, Alok Bhavsinghka and Daulat Sharma, along with other performers, presented a series of devotional songs that immersed devotees in a spiritual atmosphere.

Devotees enthusiastically participated in bhajans such as “Wo Badi Der Bhayi Nandlala,” “Govind Chale Aao, Gopal Chale Aao,” “Sandesha Aaya Hai, Kanhaiya Aayenge” and “Aayega, Aayega, Aayega, Leele Chadha Sanwra.” Many devotees were seen singing and dancing to the devotional performances.

The temple premises were beautifully decorated with colourful balloons and attractive ornamental arrangements. The Baba-Dadi Darbar was also specially decorated and emerged as a major attraction for devotees.

Following Lord Krishna’s birth at midnight, a ceremonial aarti was performed. Prasad was subsequently distributed among devotees, bringing the celebrations to a devotional conclusion.

Shri Shyam Temple Committee president Suresh Bhavsinghka, secretary Sushil Pacheria, Yogesh Mittal, Ashish Bhavsinghka and a large number of devotees were present during the celebrations.
