Gonda: The district-level joint meeting of the Uttar Pradeshiya Junior High School (Upper Primary) Teachers’ Association, Gonda, was held as scheduled at Composite School, Maharajganj, in the Nagar area on Friday.
The meeting was chaired by national vice-president and divisional president Veer Vikram Singh and began with a prayer to Goddess Saraswati.
Provincial accountant Rajesh Kumar Shukla, conveying directions from the state leadership, called for block- and district-level conventions to be completed by October 2026. Divisional president Veer Vikram Singh emphasised that block and district elections should be completed before the divisional election.
District president Ashok Kumar Pandey urged office-bearers to expedite the membership drive across all blocks and subsequently organise the respective block conventions. District general secretary Ajit Kumar Tiwari presented the organisation’s income and expenditure statement. The meeting was conducted by divisional treasurer Santosh Kumar Pandey.
Provincial joint secretary Sushil Kumar, divisional joint secretary Vimal Bahadur Singh, district senior vice-president Sanjay Singh, district minister Amit Malviya and district joint minister Amit Kumar Pandey were among those present.
Representatives from Manikapur, Mujehna, Wazirganj, Nawabganj, Jhanjhari, Pandri Kripal, Chhapia, Belser, Rupaideeh, Haldharmau, Colonelganj, Parasapur and other areas also attended the meeting. The participants discussed organisational membership, conventions and the forthcoming election process.
