Prabuddhjan Sammelan Held in Saraiya: MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh Honors Meritorious Students with Laptops and Bicycles

Emphasis on Digital Education and Rural Development in Sarojininagar

Lucknow: A Prabuddhjan Sammelan and Felicitation Ceremony was held on Tuesday at Gram Panchayat Saraiya, where Sarojininagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh interacted with distinguished citizens, teachers, and villagers. The event, organized by Block Pramukh Sunil Rawat and Patron Rajesh Singh Chauhan, celebrated excellence in education and focused on rural progress through technology and development.

In recognition of academic excellence, Dr. Singh distributed laptops to six meritorious students and bicycles to ten promising girls, encouraging them to pursue education with dedication. He also made several key announcements for Saraiya’s development, including a ₹50,000 grant for the beautification of the Shiv Temple, installation of 20 solar streetlights, and arrangement of three buses for Ayodhya Darshan under the Ramrath Shravan Yatra initiative.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Singh said, “It always gives me immense joy to honor bright students — they are the future of our society, our Sarojininagar, and our nation.” He shared that over 1,500 students in Sarojininagar have already been awarded laptops and bicycles, while more than 60 schools now have computer centers and smart panels to ensure access to modern education in rural areas.

Highlighting his vision for digital literacy, Dr. Singh emphasized, “Our aim is to bring opportunities to villages so that jobs reach the youth, not the other way around.” He mentioned ongoing educational initiatives, including a degree college for girls in Latifnagar, an ITI center in Niwan, a Lucknow University agriculture campus, and a Foreign Language University, calling them symbols of a “new era of education” in the region.

In the sphere of public welfare, Dr. Singh noted that 350 handpumps and 1,500 solar lights have been installed across rural Sarojininagar. Additionally, more than ₹22 crore in assistance has been provided to 1,200 needy citizens through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Through the Tara Shakti Rasoi initiative, over 4,000 people receive free meals daily, while the Bal Seva Yojana continues to support underprivileged families.

Dr. Singh remarked, “These efforts reflect not just service, but the social responsibility of the Sarojininagar family.” Praising the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, “Every welfare scheme—from housing and sanitation to Ayushman Bharat—is reaching every village. This transformation in Sarojininagar is a collective achievement of the people.”

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including former Block Pramukh Ram Vilas Rawat, Gram Pradhan Dinanath Rawat, former Pradhan Pawan Singh, Sonu Mali, Sarvesh Rawat, Gaurav Mali, Harish Chandra Gautam, Rajendra Yadav, Raghuveer Yadav, Medilal, Ashish Rawat, Rahul Rawat, Santosh Rawat, and Vikas Kumar Verma, among others.

The program reflected Dr. Rajeshwar Singh’s broader vision of education, service, and compassion — a practical philosophy of development emerging from Sarojininagar, where digital learning and social transformation are steadily reshaping rural life.
