Popular Bands Enthrall Audience with Patriotic Performances

Lucknow: On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department hosted vibrant cultural programs across four prominent locations in Lucknow. The celebrations began with the recital of the Preamble to the Constitution, reaffirming the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity:
“We, the people of India, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic….”

Following the Preamble reading, the evening turned into a patriotic musical spectacle with mesmerizing performances by renowned music bands. The events were held at 1090 Crossing, Saharaganj Mall, Hazratganj Multilevel Parking, and Chowk Ghantaghar, with the arrangements coordinated by a cultural service organization.

Jagmohan Rawat, the program coordinator, shared that the event featured performances by popular bands such as Friendship Band and Promil Band, which presented soul-stirring patriotic songs. Artists from Friendship Band, made famous by their appearances on Indian Idol, captivated the audience with heartfelt renditions of patriotic melodies.

Highlights included vocal performances by Shivam Mishra and Shreya Dixit, accompanied by an exceptional ensemble: Dev Bhatt on drums, Talib on guitar, Yogesh Soni on keyboard, Debashish on bass guitar, and Ankit Kumar on tabla and dholak. When the band performed the popular track “O Desh Mere” from the movie Bhuj, the crowd waved flags enthusiastically, showcasing their patriotic fervor.

The electrifying atmosphere continued with renditions of iconic songs like “Sabse Aage Honge Hindustani” and “Yeh Duniya Ek Dulhan”, which resonated deeply with the audience. The venue, illuminated by colorful lights, added to the grandeur of the occasion, making it a memorable event for attendees of all ages.

The cultural celebrations brought together the people of Lucknow in a collective display of love for the nation, turning the city into a hub of joy, unity, and patriotic spirit. From children to the elderly, everyone basked in the pride of being Indian, creating an unforgettable Satrangi Evening of music, light, and patriotism.
