Lucknow: The Dandadiya Bazaar Vyapar Mandal, affiliated with the Indian Industry and Farmers’ Trade Federation, celebrated Republic Day in a grand manner at Dandadiya Bazaar in Lucknow’s metropolitan area. The event included a ceremonial flag-hoisting and a festive Tehri Bhoj (rice feast), drawing traders and locals together to mark the occasion.
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by O.P. Srivastava, a popular MLA from the East Assembly constituency. Addressing the gathering, Srivastava expressed heartfelt gratitude to the traders and residents for their support in the elections, emphasizing his commitment to addressing their issues. “It is because of your faith and efforts that I am an MLA today. It is my responsibility to stand with you in your joys and sorrows and to resolve your problems. If I can alleviate your difficulties, it will be my greatest privilege,” he remarked.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Ajay Tripathi Munna, State President of the Indian Industry and Farmers’ Trade Federation and a former mayoral candidate from Lucknow. He highlighted key civic issues faced by the area, including the need for interlocking roads, clean drinking water facilities, accessible toilets, and proper lighting in the market. Responding to these concerns, Srivastava assured the attendees that action on these issues would commence promptly.
Ritesh Gupta, National President of the federation, lauded the MLA for his commitment to resolving local problems and thanked Ajay Tripathi Munna for bringing these issues to the forefront. Gupta also extended gratitude to former councilors Ashok Mishra, Sanjay Mishra, and Ram Mohan Agrawal for their attendance and support.
The acting president of the Dandadiya Bazaar Vyapar Mandal, Taj Khan, and General Secretary Anuj Sahu, welcomed and honored BJP leaders and other dignitaries who contributed to the success of the event. They expressed appreciation to the traders’ community for their active participation in making the Republic Day celebrations and the festive feast memorable.
Prominent leaders and representatives present included Hafiz Jaleel Ahmed Siddiqui (National Coordinator), Ashok Kumar Gupta (Lalla) (State Patron), Ramesh Jaiswal (State Treasurer), Suresh Chandra Jaiswal (State Vice President), Vijay Shankar Gupta (State Minister), Neeraj Gupta (Lucknow District President), and Furkan Ahmed (Lucknow City President).

Among the distinguished attendees were Ramsharan Sahu, Brijesh Shukla, Vishal Sahu, Arjun Prajapati, Santosh Tiwari, Ajay Awasthi, and Vijay Agarwal.
