PM Modi Performs Rituals at Triveni Sangam

Prayagraj: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Prayagraj, prayed at the sacred Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. With an aim to seek blessings for the successful organization of the Maha Kumbh 2025, scheduled from January 13 to February 26, PM Modi performed traditional rituals and pledged for global welfare amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras.

Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel, PM Modi offered Akshat (rice), Chandan (sandalwood paste), Roli (vermilion), flowers, and clothes to the holy waters. He also took blessings from prominent saints present at the event.

A Journey on the Nishadraj Cruise

PM Modi’s visit to Sangam began with a cruise ride aboard the Nishadraj Cruise, embarking from a floating jetty at Kila Ghat. Dressed in a white kurta-pajama, a blue jacket, and a maroon shawl, the Prime Minister stood on the deck, taking in the serene waves of the Yamuna and the sights of the sacred region.

Upon reaching Sangam Nose, CM Yogi and Governor Anandiben Patel welcomed the PM once again. The Prime Minister interacted with saints, including receiving a pearl garland as a token of blessings.

Sacred Rituals at Sangam Nose

At a specially erected pandal near Sangam Nose, PM Modi performed various rituals under the guidance of Tirtha priests. Seated alongside CM Yogi and Governor Patel, the PM participated in the Jalabhishek and Dudhbhishek (milk anointment) of Triveni, invoking blessings for the welfare of humanity and the success of Maha Kumbh 2025.

The rituals included offering Akshat, Chandan, Roli, flowers, and clothes to the Sangam waters, followed by an aarti ceremony. The event concluded with a photoshoot in the elaborately decorated courtyard, symbolizing the significance of the occasion.

Focus on Prayagraj’s Development

Beyond the spiritual aspects, the event marked a reaffirmation of PM Modi’s commitment to the development of Prayagraj. The Maha Kumbh, a global event attracting millions of devotees, is set to give a massive boost to the region’s infrastructure and cultural significance.

A Historic Gathering

The event witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. With the convergence of spiritual and developmental aspirations, the event at Triveni Sangam highlighted the unique blend of culture, tradition, and progress under PM Modi’s leadership.
