LUCKNOW — Police at Wazirganj police station have arrested one accused in connection with a case involving the preparation of forged documents and a fraudulent property sale deed, officials said Monday.
The case dates back to September 7, 2025, when Manoj Pathak, a resident of Kaiserbagh in Lucknow, filed a written complaint alleging that named accused had prepared fake documents and used them to execute a fraudulent sale deed. Based on his complaint, an FIR was registered at Wazirganj police station under sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code against Register, son of Ramdas, a resident of Sitapur Road in Lucknow who currently lives in Seepatpur village in Sitapur district.
During the course of the investigation, police say the allegations against the accused were substantiated, and the name of another individual — Paikarma, son of Gokaran, a resident of Baniyanpurwa Vilaspur village in Mahmudabad, Sitapur district — surfaced as connected to the case. Acting on a tip-off from a confidential informant, police arrested Paikarma on August 3, 2026 at 8:05 pm from Behta Chauraha in the Gudamba police station area of Lucknow. Further legal proceedings are underway.
During questioning, the arrested accused told police that Register, son of Ramdas, had brought him to Lucknow one day and had him sign certain papers. He claimed he was not well educated and did not know much about the matter.
