Prayagraj: In a significant development, India’s saints community has unitedly declared their commitment to the abolition of the Worship Act and Waqf Act, and have vowed to take all necessary measures to claim the sanctified lands of Baba Vishwanath in Kashi and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura. They have also resolved to increase the Hindu population by launching a widespread public awareness campaign, traveling from village to village to engage the people of Sanatan society in this mission.
The decision, drawn from the Kumbh’s collective spirit, was announced at the Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti’s General Assembly held on Wednesday at the Ganga Mahasabha camp, Sector 18, in Mahakumbh Nagar. The assembly unanimously re-elected Acharya Avichal Devacharya Ji Maharaj as the National President and Swami Jitendranand Saraswati as the National General Secretary. Both esteemed saints will serve their term until the Ujjain Kumbh in 2028.
During the meeting, several key resolutions were passed by the saints, focusing on societal reforms aimed at strengthening the Hindu community. Some of the prominent resolutions include:
- Panch Parivartan (Environmental Conservation): This initiative will focus on the protection of the environment, with an emphasis on tree plantation, water conservation, and a ban on plastic use.
- Family and Social Reforms: The saints have resolved to spread awareness on family values through initiatives like family counseling, eradicating social evils, reinforcing values, and organizing weekly family satsangs.
- Population Growth: The resolution to increase the Hindu population was emphasized with the mandate of encouraging every couple to have three children.
- Social Harmony: The saints have laid stress on promoting social unity, self-respect, and the responsibilities of good citizenship in the nation.
In attendance at this important meeting were Jagadguru Gnaneshwar Devacharya Ji Maharaj, head of Prerna Peeth, along with Swami Hansanand Teerth, National Joint Secretary; Mahamandleshwar Manmohan Das Ji Maharaj (Radhe Radhe Baba); Swami Janardan Hari Ji Maharaj, National Treasurer; and Maharishi Anjaneshwar Saraswati, National Organization Secretary, among other members of the National Executive and State Presidents and Secretaries.
The saints have set their sights on engaging the masses through awareness programs and campaigns. Their call to action marks a pivotal moment in India’s religious landscape, with far-reaching consequences for both the social and political spheres of the nation. The coming years will witness intense efforts towards fulfilling these resolutions, shaping the future of the Sanatan Hindu community.
The saints’ initiatives are poised to have long-term implications, with a deep focus on cultural preservation, family values, and national pride. Their movement could spark a powerful resurgence of Hindu identity across India, aligned with their mission to reclaim sacred sites and strengthen the social fabric.
