New Delhi: India will host the men’s Asia Cup in T20 format in 2025, while Bangladesh will host the 50-over version of the tournament in 2027. Pakistan and Sri Lanka jointly hosted the 2023 men’s Asia Cup in 50-over format, with India emerging victorious.
India has hosted the men’s Asia Cup only once before, in 1990/91, where it emerged champions at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The tender document also states that both future editions of the men’s Asia Cup will have 13 matches per edition.
The women’s T20 Asia Cup will be played in 2026, and although the venue has not been named, it will have a total of 15 matches. The tender document also includes the men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, which will be held in 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027 respectively, with 15 matches being played in each edition.
Apart from this, the Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup, 2024 and 2026 (T20), 2025 and 2027 (50 overs), also includes 30 matches of 50 overs and T20. The tender right cycle also includes two editions of the Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup – with 15 matches being played in each edition in 2025 and 2027 respectively.
