Lucknow: State Minority Commission Chairman Ashfaq Saifi has said he expected the Additional Chief Secretary Home and Additional Chief Secretary Urban Development to make arrangements for security and cleanliness on the occasion of the holy festival of Eid-ul-Azha to be celebrated on June 17, 2024. He said that there is a lot of crowd in Eidgah and mosques at the time of Eid-ul-Azha prayers. Therefore, security arrangements should be made around Eidgah and mosques. Namaz should not be performed on the road under any circumstances.
Saifi said that there should be proper arrangement of cleanliness around Eidgahs and mosques through Municipal Corporation / Municipality / Nagar Panchayat etc. He said that keeping in mind the scorching heat, arrangements for pure drinking water should also be made for the Namazis.
Saifi said that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, animals are sacrificed by Muslims. Ensure that the sacrifice is done at its designated place and under no circumstances should the prohibited animals be sacrificed. He said that for disposal of the remains of sacrifice, fixed and mobile dustbins should be arranged by Municipal Corporation/Nagarpalika/Nagar Panchayat etc. The general public and animal traders should not be harassed by unruly elements for buying and selling and transporting legal animals for sacrifice.
