Lucknow: The Department of Ancient Indian History and Archaeology at University of Lucknow celebrated World Heritage Day with a vibrant and engaging cultural programme that highlighted the importance of preserving India’s rich historical legacy.
The event, hosted by the student-led “Sangram Society,” witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members. A series of speeches and presentations were delivered by participants, reflecting on the significance of cultural heritage, conservation efforts, and the role of youth in safeguarding historical monuments and traditions.
The programme created an intellectually stimulating atmosphere, encouraging students to express their views on heritage preservation while also showcasing their oratory skills. The audience responded with keen interest, making the event both informative and lively.
The competition segment of the programme was judged by Prof. Mamta Mishra and Dr. Rashmi Singh, who evaluated the participants based on content, delivery, and overall presentation. Their insightful feedback added value to the event and motivated students to further refine their perspectives.
In the results, Pranjal Shukla secured the first position, followed by Avantika Singh in second place, while Ananta Bora claimed the third position. The winners were applauded for their articulate expression and depth of understanding on the theme.
