CSIR-CDRI Honors Scientists and Innovators During National Technology Day 2026 Celebrations

Lucknow | CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute celebrated National Technology Day with great enthusiasm through its prestigious Translational Research Lecture Series, featuring an inspiring keynote address by renowned orthopedic surgeon and academician Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh.

The event also marked a proud moment for CSIR-CDRI as institute scientists, innovators, and members of the Technology Transfer & Licensing Team were honored for their outstanding contributions toward scientific innovation, technology development, and translational research.

The lecture, titled “My Journey to Translational Medicine as Orthopedic Surgeon,” was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, and a distinguished orthopedic surgeon and academic leader. During his address, Prof. Singh highlighted the importance of bridging clinical practice with scientific research to develop impactful healthcare solutions. Drawing from his professional journey, he shared valuable insights into the growing role of translational medicine in improving patient care and advancing medical technologies.

The program was presided over by Dr. Radha Rangarajan, Director of CSIR-CDRI, who congratulated the awardees and applauded the institute’s scientific community for their dedication toward innovation and societal impact.
During the ceremony, CSIR-CDRI recognized scientists and innovators whose technologies and research contributions have significantly strengthened the institute’s mission of transforming laboratory research into real-world healthcare solutions. The institute also acknowledged the efforts of its Technology Transfer & Licensing Team for successfully facilitating innovation dissemination and industry partnerships.

A major highlight of the event was the release of the CSIR-CDRI Annual Report 2025–26, showcasing the institute’s scientific achievements, research milestones, and technology-driven accomplishments over the past year.
Addressing the gathering, speakers noted that National Technology Day is not only a celebration of India’s scientific progress but also a platform to inspire future innovations that can contribute to national growth and public health advancement.
