New Delhi: The Union Cabinet has approved a series of measures covering agriculture, renewable energy and urban mobility, including higher Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for Rabi crops for the 2027-28 marketing season and the third phase of the Green Energy Corridor.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved higher MSPs for all mandated Rabi crops. The increase ranges from ₹25 per quintal for wheat to ₹675 for safflower. Rapeseed and mustard will see an increase of ₹413, while lentil, barley and gram MSPs will rise by ₹390, ₹136 and ₹83 respectively.

The Cabinet also approved Green Energy Corridor Phase III with an estimated outlay of ₹1,86,405 crore. The scheme aims to strengthen intra-state transmission systems and facilitate evacuation of up to 135 GW of renewable energy, alongside 50 GWh of battery energy storage capacity.

Separately, ₹1,789.52 crore was approved for an AI-enabled Intelligent Traffic Management System covering 42 traffic corridors in Delhi. The system will use adaptive signals, real-time monitoring and technology-based enforcement.
