UPMRC officials and employees take Swachhata Pledge and participate in cleanliness drive around Metro stations across Lucknow, Kanpur and Agra
Hindi Pakhwada concludes with felicitation ceremony by MD UPMRC
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation organised a Mega ‘Shramdaan’ Drive with active participation of its officers, employees and staff across Lucknow, Kanpur and Agra Metro Stations. As part of the Swachhta Saptah being observed, UPMRC organised Swachhata Pledge and Swachhta Shramdaan activities promoting cleanliness, hygiene and collective responsibility.
The drive were organised in line with the theme “Swachhata Mein Sahbhag; Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat”, with emphasis on ‘Jan Bhagidari’ and collective ownership towards cleanliness.
Managing Director, UPMRC, Shri Sushil Kumar, along with Directors, senior officials and employees, participated in the cleanliness activities and took the Swachhata Pledge. The initiative encouraged employees and citizens to actively contribute towards maintaining clean and hygienic public spaces.
Hindi Pakhwada -Award Ceremony
Today on 1st October, 2026 UPMRC MD Shri Sushil Kumar also felicitated the winners of Hindi Pakhwada, organised from 14 to 28 September 2026. Employees participated in various competitions, including essay writing, handwriting, quiz, translation and speech. Shri Sushil Kumar honoured the winners and emphasised the importance of promoting the use of Hindi in official communication.
