Lucknow: The nomination process for the post of BJP Lucknow Mahanagar President concluded peacefully , with only two candidates filing their nominations. The current president, Anand Dwivedi, and Yogendra Singh were the only ones who filed their papers for the prestigious post.
According to Naveen Jain, the Election Officer for Lucknow Mahanagar and a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, the nomination period for the posts took place at The Celebration Lawn, located in the city’s heart, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
At 3:00 PM, Anand Dwivedi, the incumbent Metropolitan President, submitted his nomination papers to Naveen Jain in the presence of a large number of party officials and workers. The event was attended by several prominent figures, including MLC Mukesh Sharma, State Minister Shiv Bhushan Singh, Election Co-Officer Ramavatar Kanaujia, Rakesh Singh, Ramesh Toofani, and Manohar Singh.
Praveen Garg, the Media Incharge, informed that a total of 20 nominations were filed for the Provincial Council position. The candidates who filed their papers include Rishi Pal Singh, Rahul Nigam, Shiv Kumar Baba, Ramashankar Tripathi, Vinod Bajpai, Praveen Srivastava, Rajkumari Maurya, Anupam Singh Bhandari, Chandra Prakash Singh, Rajkumari Maurya, Gyan Prakash Gupta, Surendra Kumar Sharma, Subhash Chandra Sonkar, Sudhir Kumar Awasthi, Dilip Sahu, Mangalmay Shukla, Surendra Pal Verma, Amarpal Singh, and Ashish Trivedi.
Following the nominations, Naveen Jain will compile and organize the submitted nomination papers and send them to the state leadership for verification. Once the eligibility documents are reviewed, the final list of elected officials will be officially declared by the state leadership. The process was smooth and free of any disturbances, with candidates expressing their commitment to running fair campaigns ahead of the upcoming election.
