Ayodhya: In a major boost to the hospitality infrastructure of Ayodhya, construction of a state-of-the-art Very Very Important Person (VVIP) Guest House is progressing rapidly near Ram Katha Park under an initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The ambitious project, being developed by the State Property Department at a cost of ₹93.75 crore, is expected to be completed by November 2027.
Spread across a sprawling campus of 14,510 square metres, the modern guest house complex is being designed to cater to the growing influx of dignitaries and high-profile visitors arriving in Ayodhya. The project will feature a Chief Minister Block (G+4), a Residential Block (B+G+5), a Dormitory Block (G+5), and a Service Block (G+1), along with several supporting facilities.
The complex will also include a central lawn, water fountain, staff and visitor parking areas, electrical substation, guard room, time office, pass office, water supply systems, landscaping, and comprehensive security arrangements. The facility aims to blend modern hospitality standards with the spiritual and cultural significance of the temple city.
According to Executive Engineer Umesh Chandra of the Public Works Department (Construction Division-2), significant progress has already been achieved. Plastering work is underway on the fourth floor of the Chief Minister Block, while MEP installations and lift-related work are progressing on the upper floors. In the Residential Block, the basement slab has been completed, while painting and external plastering work are continuing in the Dormitory Block.
Officials said the project is being monitored regularly to ensure quality standards and timely completion. Given the increasing number of VVIP visits following the development of Ayodhya as a major religious and tourism destination, the guest house is expected to significantly enhance the city’s accommodation and hospitality capacity.

Recently, District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi inspected the project site and directed officials to maintain construction quality while adhering to project timelines. He stated that upon completion, the VVIP Guest House would further enhance Ayodhya’s grand image and support its emergence as a world-class spiritual and tourism hub.
The project is expected to become a landmark addition to Ayodhya’s rapidly evolving urban landscape, reflecting the city’s growing prominence on both national and international tourism maps.
