Alambagh Station Incharge Sets Example of Honesty, Returns Gold Chain and Cash to Passenger

Lucknow | In a heartwarming example of honesty and dedication, Alambagh Station Incharge Rajaram Sharma of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) set a remarkable precedent by safely returning a passenger’s lost purse containing valuable items.

On October 25, 2025, passenger Jyotsna, traveling from Prayagraj to Alambagh in an AC Janrath bus (No. UP 78 LT 2154) of the Awadh Depot, accidentally left her purse behind on the bus. The purse contained a gold chain worth approximately ₹1.5 lakh and ₹5,000 in cash.

Upon discovering the lost item, Station Incharge Rajaram Sharma, along with the Alambagh depot management team, immediately launched efforts to trace and secure the purse. After diligent coordination and thorough verification, the purse was successfully located and returned to its rightful owner.

Overjoyed at the return of her valuables, Jyotsna expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Alambagh depot management and the UPSRTC staff, appreciating their integrity and commitment to public service.
