Giving such a message to the new generation, the artists of Kaushambi presented a spectacular performance of the Nautanki Kewat ke Ram in Sant Gadgeji Maharaj Auditorium, Gomtinagar. This presentation of Dwarika Loknatya Kala Utthan Samiti under the direction of Santosh Kumar on the second evening of Urmil Rang Utsav touched the emotions of the audience.
The five-day festival focuses on the Nautanki genre organized by Dr. Urmil Kumar Thapliyal Foundation. The Nautanki was based on Shri Ramcharitmanas written by Tulsidas. The director himself has crafted the story in Nautanki verses like Chaubola, Baharetvil. On the stage, Ram Prasad was in the role of Ram, along with Vijay Kumar as Laxman, Dinesh Kumar as Sita, Santosh as Sumant, Lalu Prasad as Kewat, Ratan Kumar as Parvatiya, Rakesh Kumar as Mangarua, Santosh Chaudhary as Nishad Raj and Ghanshyam Gautam as announcer.
Santosh Kumar was on harmonium, Sandeep Kumar on nakara and Santosh, Asharfi Lal and Jhingai Lal were on other instruments. Costume design was by Atmaram and make-up was by Rajkishore Upadhyay.
