Bareilly: SRMS Riddhima hosted an instrumental music programme, ‘String of Devotion’, on Sunday evening, bringing together instrumental gurus and their students for an evening of classical and light music.
The programme opened with the Ganesh Vandana, ‘Gannayak Gan Devta’, performed by instrumentalists on violin, tabla, pakhawaj, sitar, harmonium, drums, guitar, keyboard, sarangi and percussion. Instrumental gurus Suryakant Chaudhary, Deep Kant Johri, Amarnath, Rishabh Ashish Pathak, Seema, Pawan Bhardwaj, Anugrah Singh, Vishesh Singh, Derick Aman James, Dhruv Tripathi and Surendra Singh participated along with students Dr Namrata Singh, Ashish Agrawal and Agrim Agrawal. Vocal guru Priyanka Gwal provided accompaniment.

The performers also presented the evergreen song ‘Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai’ from the film Shor and ‘My Heart Will Go On’ from Titanic, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.

A rendition of the thumri ‘Naina More’ featured vocal accompaniment by guru Satvik Mishra. The evening concluded with an instrumental presentation of ‘Deva Shree Ganesha’, again supported by Satvik Mishra.
The programme was conducted by Aruna Gangwar. SRMS Trust founder and chairman Dev Murti, Asha Murti, Aditya Murti, Richa Murti, Devisha Murti, Dr Prabhakar Gupta, Dr Shailesh Saxena, Dr Rita Sharma and theatre enthusiasts from Bareilly attended the event.
