Bareilly: A review meeting on the Farmer Registry was held at the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Avinash Singh, with officials directed to accelerate the registration process across the district.
Reviewing the progress, the District Magistrate observed that Bareilly was lagging behind in the Farmer Registry and instructed all tehsildars to organise camps at the development block level to speed up the work. He also directed officials to conduct regular field inspections with Block Development Officers and ensure weekly reviews of the progress.
The District Magistrate said the Farmer Registry was being regularly monitored at the Chief Secretary level and warned officials against any negligence in completing the exercise. He instructed that lekhpals and panchayat secretaries should also be actively involved in the campaign to improve coverage.
He further directed officials to ensure the early disposal of pending cases related to the SVAMITVA scheme and take steps to improve overall progress.
Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Purnima Singh, Deputy Director Agriculture OP Mishra, District Panchayati Raj Officer Kamal Kishore, DRDA Project Director Chandra Prakash Srivastava and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
