Gonda: Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with devotion, religious fervour and enthusiasm at the Police Lines in Gonda, where a special programme was organised to mark the birth of Lord Krishna.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Devipatan Range, Gonda, Ashok Kumar and Gonda Superintendent of Police Abhishek attended the celebrations. On the occasion, SP Abhishek performed the traditional worship of Lord Krishna with due rituals and devotion. Prayers were offered for peace, harmony, prosperity and the welfare of the people of the district.

Following the religious ceremony, prasad was distributed among devotees and others present at the Police Lines premises.
A grand cultural programme was subsequently organised at the Rajendra Nath Lahiri Multipurpose Hall in the Police Lines. Artists and participants presented a series of performances depicting various aspects of Lord Krishna’s life, childhood pastimes and teachings. The captivating performances enthralled the audience and created a deeply devotional atmosphere.

On the occasion, senior police officials extended Janmashtami greetings to police personnel and their family members. They urged everyone to draw inspiration from the ideals and teachings of Lord Krishna and work towards strengthening the values of love, peace, harmony and brotherhood in society.
Additional Superintendent of Police (East) Ajit Kumar Rajak, Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Radheshyam Rai and other police officers and personnel were present during the celebrations.
