Lucknow: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Lucknow, has launched Mediation Campaign 3.0 to encourage the swift, cost-effective, and amicable settlement of disputes through mediation. The campaign is being conducted in accordance with the directives of the Supreme Court Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee, the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), and the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (UPSLSA). The initiative will remain in force from August 1 to December 30, 2026.
Jeevak Kumar Singh, In-charge Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, said the campaign seeks to promote dialogue, mutual understanding, and voluntary settlements between disputing parties. He described mediation as a confidential, impartial, and voluntary process that enables parties to resolve conflicts through mutual consent, saving both time and litigation costs while preserving personal and professional relationships.
The campaign covers a wide range of cases, including matrimonial and family disputes, domestic violence matters, motor accident claim cases, cheque dishonour cases, compoundable criminal offences, commercial and consumer disputes, execution proceedings, debt recovery, service-related matters, partition, eviction, land acquisition, labour disputes, civil property matters, and other cases suitable for negotiated settlement.
The DLSA has appealed to residents to opt for mediation instead of prolonged legal proceedings. Mediation sessions are being conducted by trained mediators at the Mediation and Conciliation Centre located within the District Court campus in Lucknow.
