AliGanj Police Arrest Court-Warranted Accused in Maintenance Case

Lucknow: The AliGanj Police in Lucknow arrested a man wanted under a non-bailable warrant issued by the Family Court in connection with a maintenance case under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

The accused, identified as Durgesh, son of Mohan Lal, a resident of Ahibaranpur under the jurisdiction of AliGanj Police Station, was apprehended from his residence on July 27. He is around 40 years old.

According to the police, the non-bailable warrant was issued by the Court of the 5th Principal Judge, Family Court, Lucknow, in Case No. 1908/2022 relating to proceedings under Section 125 CrPC, which deals with maintenance claims.

Following his arrest, the accused was taken into custody and legal formalities were completed at the local police station. He is being produced before the competent court in compliance with the warrant.

The arrest was carried out by a police team from AliGanj Police Station comprising Sub-Inspector Dhirendra Kumar Mishra and Constable Sushil Kumar.

The Lucknow Police said the action was part of its ongoing drive to execute pending non-bailable warrants and ensure compliance with court orders.
