Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Pays Tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee on His 125th Birth Anniversary

Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal Says Life Dedicated to National Unity and Integrity Will Continue to Inspire Generations

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid floral tributes to Bharat Mata’s revered son, eminent nationalist thinker, distinguished educationist, and founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary.

The tribute ceremony was held at Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital in Lucknow, where the Chief Minister offered flowers at the statue of Dr. Mookerjee and paid his respects to one of the foremost architects of modern Indian nationalism.

Joining the Chief Minister on the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Kapil Dev Agarwal also paid floral tributes and remembered Dr. Mookerjee’s contribution to the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal said that Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s life, dedicated to the ideals of national unity, integrity, and cultural nationalism, would remain a source of inspiration for generations to come. He noted that Dr. Mookerjee’s ideals, vision, and unwavering commitment to the principle of “Nation First” continue to guide citizens and policymakers alike.

The minister emphasized that Dr. Mookerjee made the ultimate sacrifice in his efforts to uphold the unity and sovereignty of India and to ensure that Jammu and Kashmir remained an integral part of the nation. He recalled Dr. Mookerjee’s historic slogan, “One Nation cannot have two constitutions, two prime ministers, and two flags,” describing it as a powerful expression of national unity that continues to resonate in the hearts of patriots across the country.

Kapil Dev Agarwal further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is working with a commitment to the vision of “One India, Great India” while drawing inspiration from the ideals and principles espoused by Dr. Mookerjee. He said the state government remains dedicated to promoting national integration, good governance, and inclusive development in line with the values championed by the late leader.

The commemorative event was marked by reverence and remembrance as leaders paid homage to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s enduring legacy and his contributions to strengthening the foundations of a united and self-reliant India.
