NTPC Vindhyachal Hosts Regional Executive Director (North) and NSPCL CEO Divakar Kaushik for Comprehensive Station Review

Vindhya Nagar: Divakar Kaushik, Regional Executive Director (North) and Chief Executive Officer of NSPCL, visited NTPC Vindhyachal to review the station’s operational performance, ongoing projects, and key developmental initiatives. The visit underscored NTPC’s continued focus on operational excellence, safety, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Kaushik was welcomed by Kishore Kumar Hota, Executive Director (Vindhyachal). Senior officials present during the visit included A.J. Rajkumar, General Manager (Operations & Maintenance); M. Suresh, General Manager (Maintenance & ADM); S.K. Sinha, General Manager (Operations & FM); Debabrata Tripathi, General Manager (Projects & TS); and Ruma De Sharma, Head of Human Resources (Vindhyachal).

During his visit, Kaushik inaugurated the newly developed Fire Station Control Room, equipped with advanced alarm and monitoring systems designed to enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities at the station.

He later inspected the Stage-II Control Room, where he interacted with desk engineers and reviewed the functioning of newly installed systems. The interaction provided an opportunity to assess technological upgrades and operational efficiencies implemented at the plant.

Kaushik also visited the proposed site for the 20 MW Solar Power Plant via the MGR route and reviewed the progress of the renewable energy project. The solar initiative is expected to strengthen NTPC Vindhyachal’s commitment to sustainable energy generation and environmental responsibility.

As part of the tour, he inspected the MGR Workshop, observing various maintenance and operational activities being undertaken to support efficient plant functioning.

The highlight of the visit was the Station Management Committee (SMC) meeting, chaired by Mr. Kaushik. During the meeting, he conducted a detailed review of the station’s performance, safety standards, project execution status, critical operational issues, and several special initiatives. Discussions also focused on future development plans and strategies aimed at enhancing productivity and reliability.

In his guidance to the team, Kaushik emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of operational excellence, workplace safety, innovation, and sustainable development. He encouraged employees and management to continue striving for continuous improvement and preparedness to meet future challenges.

The visit proved to be both motivating and insightful for the station’s workforce, providing valuable direction for NTPC Vindhyachal’s future growth and reinforcing its commitment to excellence in power generation.
