Singrauli: The much-awaited “Mega Summer Camp-Aarohan 2026”, organized by Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, concluded on a high note with colorful closing ceremonies held across all NCL projects. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of children, providing them with a platform to explore and develop their talents in sports, arts, and cultural activities.

The closing ceremony at NCL Headquarters was attended by Rajesh Trivedi, General Manager (Human Resources/Welfare), representatives of labour unions, members of the Sports Promotion Board, officials, employees, and members of the local community.

Addressing the gathering, Rajesh Trivedi congratulated the participating children and said that NCL had planted the seed of talent among young minds through Aarohan. He emphasized that it is now the responsibility of parents to nurture these abilities and provide opportunities for children to excel further.

“Every child possesses a unique talent. What they often need is the right platform to showcase it. Through Aarohan, NCL has made a sincere effort to provide that opportunity,” he said. He also expressed gratitude to the trainers for their dedicated efforts and praised the NCL Welfare Department for successfully organizing the camp through meticulous planning and teamwork.

Since its launch in 2018, Aarohan has become one of NCL’s flagship community initiatives, aimed at encouraging children to develop an interest in sports and creative pursuits. The programme also seeks to reduce excessive dependence on mobile phones and online gaming by promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.

To ensure participants’ well-being, NCL arranged nutritious meals and refreshments throughout the camp. Over the years, Aarohan has emerged as a valuable platform for children and youth in the Singrauli region to discover their potential, sharpen their skills, and embrace a more active and healthy way of life.
