Munger: Celebrated performer and comic artist Rajan Kumar, popularly known as “Charlie Chaplin II,” is set to visit China for a special international cultural programme, where he will present his 5,381st live performance in Hong Kong.
The performance will take place during an international conference on the theme “The Role of Culture and Science in Global Development,” scheduled for June 6, 2026. The event is being organised by Science Together and is expected to bring together artists, thinkers and cultural personalities from different countries.
During the programme, Rajan Kumar will perform in his iconic Charlie Chaplin-inspired avatar, a character that has earned him recognition both in India and abroad for his comic timing, silent expressions and socially relevant performances.
The artist, who hails from Munger in Bihar, has spent the last 25 years performing as Charlie Chaplin II and has built a reputation for spreading messages of peace, harmony and human values through humour and satire. His upcoming China visit is being seen as another milestone in his long artistic journey.

Rajan Kumar, a record holder in both the Guinness World Records and Limca Book of Records, is known for captivating audiences across the world with his energetic stage presence and emotional connection with viewers.
As part of his performance in Hong Kong and Macau, he is also expected to promote the message of global peace and unity, carrying placards advocating harmony and opposition to war.
