Lucknow: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited’s (ZEEL) free-to-air Hindi general entertainment channel Anmol TV is witnessing strong audience engagement with its first original fiction show, Hamari Radha. The show’s emotional storyline and layered characters have struck a chord with viewers.
The ongoing story revolves around Radha, played by Simran Kaur, who places complete trust in her husband Girdhar, portrayed by Akshay Mhatre, while he secretly deceives her. The storyline has sparked a strong emotional response among viewers.
In a notable display of support for the fictional character, a group of fans recently arrived at the show’s shooting set and protested against Girdhar’s actions. Upset over his alleged infidelity, the fans demanded that Radha be made aware of the truth about his relationship with Shanaya, played by Vaidehi Nair.
One fan participating in the protest said the audience had developed a deep emotional connection with Radha and wanted her to know the truth and stand up for herself.
Simran Kaur said she was happy to see viewers extending their love and support to Radha, adding that fans coming to the set to express their feelings made the response particularly special. She hinted that the storyline is heading towards an important turn, with viewers set to see how Radha reacts when the truth is finally revealed.
Akshay Mhatre said Girdhar is a flawed character who has made difficult-to-justify choices, making the role challenging and interesting to portray. He added that while he does not support infidelity in real life, playing a character whose thoughts and actions differ from his own has been an engaging experience.
With Girdhar’s secret relationship now nearing exposure, questions remain over Radha’s reaction and the future of their marriage. Viewers will have to wait to discover whether Girdhar chooses to end the marriage or whether the revelation brings out a new side of Radha.
