932 Aspirants Receive Appointment Letters in UP, Dreams Turn Into Reality

Lucknow: In a major recruitment drive, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday distributed appointment letters to 932 candidates selected through the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2024 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.

The appointment letters were handed over by Yogi Adityanath during a programme held at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow. The selected candidates were appointed to various posts across 21 government departments, with many describing the moment as the fulfilment of years of hard work and dedication.

Among the newly appointed officers, the highest number — 258 candidates — were selected as Naib Tehsildars. Another 196 candidates received appointments as Assistant Commissioners (Commercial Tax), while 142 were appointed as Commercial Tax Officers. In addition, 72 candidates were selected as Block Development Officers.

The recruitment drive also included appointments to key administrative and law enforcement posts such as 37 Deputy Collectors and 17 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs). Several other appointments were made to departments including transport, social welfare, home guards, industries, Panchayati Raj and prison administration.

During the ceremony, the faces of newly selected candidates lit up with excitement as they received their appointment letters from the Chief Minister.

Some of the candidates who received appointment letters during the event included Neha Panchal from New Delhi, selected as Deputy Collector; Aakriti Shukla from Prayagraj, appointed as DSP; Nidhi Nagar from Gautam Buddh Nagar, selected as Assistant Commissioner (State Tax); and Niharika Rai from Shahjahanpur, appointed as State Tax Officer.

Others included Mahesh Vikram Srivastava from Mirzapur as Block Development Officer, Shruti Shukla from Balrampur as District Commandant Home Guards, and Parth Sarathi from Bijnor as Sub-Registrar.

Appointments were also handed to candidates selected for posts such as District Minority Welfare Officer, District Backward Class Welfare Officer, Treasury Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Deputy Jailor and Panchayati Raj Executive Officer.

The large-scale recruitment initiative is being seen as a significant boost to administrative strength and employment opportunities in the state, while also bringing fresh energy into the government workforce.
