Lucknow: Lucknow MP and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the digital gallery at the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Bhavan, marking his return to the Vidhan Sabha premises after a gap of 24 years.
On his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana with a bouquet. The occasion was also attended by BJP Lucknow Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, and MLC Mukesh Sharma.
During the visit, Rajnath Singh explored the Assembly’s state-of-the-art audio-visual museum, which showcases the rich legacy and democratic traditions of Uttar Pradesh in a modern and engaging format.
Speaking on the occasion, the Defence Minister said the visit offered him an opportunity to rediscover the glorious history and strong democratic heritage of the state legislature. He expressed deep appreciation for the digital gallery, noting that the audio-visual museum has presented the Assembly’s legacy in an impactful manner.

Describing the experience as a “special journey of memories,” he said he was deeply impressed by the initiative. He further praised the Uttar Pradesh Assembly for its continuous efforts in strengthening democratic values and promoting public awareness.
Rajnath Singh also urged citizens of the state to visit the museum and witness the rich democratic history firsthand. He congratulated the Uttar Pradesh government, especially Speaker Satish Mahana, for this commendable initiative.
