Mumbai: Olympic bronze medallist Aman Sehrawat has taken a new step off the wrestling mat, becoming the first sports brand ambassador of Aspect Sports under a multi-year partnership aimed at promoting Indian wrestling and encouraging young athletes.
The 23-year-old wrestler from Haryana rose through the traditional akharas to the Olympic podium at Paris 2024, where he won bronze in the men’s 57kg freestyle category.
Expressing pride in the association, Sehrawat said the partnership would give him an opportunity to inspire young people across the country to take up sports and pursue their ambitions.
Aspect Sports said Sehrawat’s dedication, discipline and commitment to excellence aligned with the brand’s values, adding that the collaboration was intended to contribute to the growth of Indian sport and its next generation of athletes.
Sehrawat became the U-23 World Champion in 2022 and followed it with a gold medal at the 2023 Asian Wrestling Championships. His bronze at the Paris Olympics marked another major milestone in his rapidly developing career.
Having established himself among India’s promising wrestling talents, Sehrawat is now preparing for the next phase of his competitive journey, with the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics among his long-term targets.
